Did Chevrolet make a 1958 Nomad?

By 1958, the Chevy two-door wagons were gone, however, and the Nomad name was given to the top-tier Bel Air-based wagon. It was a one-year-only proposition. For 1959, the Nomad designation went to the Impala wagon, making the 1958 Bel Air Nomad a bit of a footnote in Chevrolet history.

Who designed the Chevy Nomad?

The Nomad was originally a concept car based on the 1953 Corvette. However, it made an appearance at the 1954 General Motors Motorama show in New York. It was one of GM Chief Designer Harley Earl’s “Dream Cars”. It had the front of a Corvette, the back of a sleek, yet practical wagon, and the capacity to carry six people.

How many years did Chevy make the Nomad?

The Chevrolet Nomad is a station wagon model produced by Chevrolet that was marketed from 1955 to 1961, from 1967 to 1972, and then used as a trim package on the 1976 Vega as well as for Chevrolet vans during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
