This 1959 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck Restomod is no exception. However, every generation since the AK’s gained a fanbase and a place in the collectible vehicle world. In addition, this sleek ’59 restomod’s the latest in a line of gorgeous Task Force bowties.

This road-ready fighter combines a massaged small block and current GM 4-speed with show-worthy bodywork. However, this sleek 3100 combines modern detailing with deliberate simplicity.

BODYWORK/TRIM

This incredibly fantastic classic has a ground-up restoration and a glossy black 2-stage. In addition, an extraordinarily straight fuselage marries solid panels with elegant modification. However, this profile’s refined alignment includes uniform planes and narrow gaps. Of course, it’s a blue-collar classic with Kustom, no-collar styling.

This Chevy’s rebuild included new bolt-ons. However, a chrome grille drapes clear parking lights between a polished bumper and stainless-trimmed halogen headlights. In addition, a nosed hood leads to a shaved cowl and flush-fit windshield behind the facade. Lastly, this screen leads to a tinted greenhouse with 1-piece windows and shaved drip rails.

Shaved fenders lead to mirrorless doors and a custom-rail-equipped step-side bed. However, between those rails, a custom tonneau shades a textured cargo hold, which centers a small fuel filler in front of a custom tailgate. In addition, that tailgate sits pretty between a custom roll pan and stainless-trimmed LED taillights.

Under the hood is a polished, rebuilt 350-cubic-inch Chevrolet small block with aftermarket upgrades. Moreover, metallic Silver air cleaner floats wind into an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake via a coated Edelbrock carburetor. At the perimeter of that intake, Metallic Silver valve covers reflect coated block hugger headers. Behind those covers, a Delco-Remy HEI distributor shoots a spark through loomed Standard Triple Silicone wires. At the front of those looms, traditional V-belts spin a polished alternator beside a Sanden AC compressor.

At the front of those ancillaries, a beefy radiator plays well with an electric puller fan and a polished expansion tank. And, when it comes to aesthetic appeal, the monochromatic mill fits well inside the truck’s massaged engine compartment.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

This old-school bowtie’s floorboards and suspension have been weather-protected. Behind the small block, a 700R4 4-speed twists a familiar 10-bolt axle. That torque’s steered through traditional power steering. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to two power-assisted discs and two power-assisted drums.

The aforementioned headers breathe through heat-wrapped downpipes, dual-chamber Flowmasters, and coated tailpipes. At the corners of the chassis, polished Coys wheels twist 215/45R18 Hankook Ventus V2s in front of 275/40R20 Hankook Ventus STs. And everything, from the truck’s clean brake booster to its custom fuel tank, is well planned, well executed, and ready to work its magic!

1959 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck Restomod – INTERIOR

When you pop this pickup’s doors, you’ll find a stylish custom cockpit that’s laced with the plush leather surfacing. Top dead center, cushy bucket seats appear to be 90s-era GM pieces. In front of those seats, a leather-wrapped dash founds bright Auto Meter telemetry on a polished bezel. At the base of that dash, a custom, leather-wrapped console centers modern Clarion audio between Vintage Air climate control and a proven Lokar shifter.

That console rides vivid Daytona carpet, which floats color-keyed floor mats beneath a billet foot pedal and integrated Kicker speakers. That carpet is capped by leather side panels, which frame billet handles, and a leather headliner, which frames a billet mirror. And in front of the driver, a polished and half-wrapped steering wheel laps a modern, tilting column.
